Courtney and I first met during our freshman year at Howard University, where we quickly bonded over our shared values, our interest in Delta Sigma Theta, and our dreams of making a difference if given the opportunity to become members of the organization.

What makes Courtney special isn’t just her impressive résumé or the titles she holds—it’s the way she shows up for people. I’ve watched her truly be there for our linesisters, offer guidance to our new initiates, create space for honest conversations with collegiate sorors in Washington, D.C., and bring thoughtful energy and clear direction to every project she touches. As Washington, D.C. State Facilitator, she has remained grounded, accessible, and committed to ensuring that every collegiate soror in our city feels valued.

Courtney brings integrity, clarity, and compassion to every role she takes on, and her love for our sisterhood is unwavering. Whether she’s leading a chapter activity, speaking at an event for another chapter or simply encouraging a soror dealing with a personal matter, she leads with grace and intention.

I am proud to call Courtney my line sister and my friend, and I am even prouder to offer my full support for her candidacy as National Second Vice President.
