I have known Courtney since she was born as her mother served with me in the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter. It was not unusual to see her in a car seat or stroller at committee meetings and, as she grew older, she was present at service projects and other open activities held by the chapter. So, I wasn’t surprised when she reached out for guidance in preparation to lead the Alpha Chapter Rededication Ceremony. From the very beginning of our conversation, it was clear that Courtney possessed a deep reverence for the traditions of our Sisterhood. Her thoughtful questions, attention to detail, and sincere desire to ensure the ceremony was both beautiful and dignified moved me tremendously.
Soror Courtney approached the responsibility not as a task, but as an honor – and it showed. She understood that Ritual is not just a reflection of who we are, but a powerful connector to the legacy of our 22 illustrious Founders. As a collegiate leader, Soror Courtney exemplifies what it means to be rooted in tradition while reaching forward with vision and purpose. She leads with poise, prepares with excellence, and inspires with authenticity. I have no doubt that she will bring these same qualities to the national level as our National Second Vice President.
Soror Courtney is ready and our Sisterhood will be better for her leadership.
